Transferring photos

Can someone explain how I can transfer photos on my phone to the computer. I have already plugged the cable in. When I click on the network, then phone, I just get the phone properties.

When your phone is connected to your PC, open your phone notifications, you'll see one talking about usb, press it and make sure it's set to transfer files

@Wheatenpie: Further to the suggestion by @johnz237, if a standard USB connection isn't working for you then you can use Link to Windows to drag and drop photos from your phone to your PC. To learn more, please take a look at the link below.

First, check if your phone can be successfully detected by your computer by following  @arianwen27 suggestion. If not, try to update your drivers. And you can also use  Samsung Smart Switch to help you transfer photos to your computer.

So I have successfully installed Link to Windows on both devices but don't know where to go from here. I'm looking at the computer right now .

Unlock your phone → Swipe down → Tap “USB for file transfer” → Select “File Transfer (MTP)” → Your phone should now show up as a drive on your computer → Open it and copy your photos.
