Firstly the S9 phone was released in early 2018, so the design is actually some 6 years old. You may have owned for 2 years but it is unlikely it was brand new when you bought it. Was it a refurb phone or passed on from someone else ?
Be aware that for security and software this is out of date. Only 3 or 4 years of security would have been applicable from new. So be wary if using banking or other applications that require a secure phone.
IMPORTANT. If the phone was dropped and now will not power then I would be VERY CAUTIOUS about using it. If there is any damage to the electronics or battery then this could be a RISK to health and safety.
Personally I would consider this phone having done its lifetime, and look at getting a new phone.
I would also place it in a safe place outside of house, just in case any catastrophic failure were to occur. This might seem like an over reaction, but you can never be too safe with a phone that has suspected internal damage, and it is better to be safe than sorry.
If you decide to consider fixing it then take it to someone that knows. I would say the S9 and it's age would make it probably 'Beyond economic repair'.
Good luck
