Hey, wondering how to get rid of samsung free, or at least get it off my home screen. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that I dont want this stupid app (that is based in the US) taking up space on my phone. Apart from refusing all the permissions and making sure it never runs in the background, there's not much else I can do. I'm live in the UK, so the US news is useless. I can't watch anything, because it's US only. There are barely any decent podcasts, and I don't have any interest in playing the quick launch games. Surely Samsung isn't stupid enough to not realize that some customers might not be in the US. I wouldn't even be concerned if it wasn't for the fact I can't remove it from my Home Screen.

Please help!

Long press on empty part of home screen. Swipe across to left most page and toggle off.
Or, settings>home screen>add media page to home screen. Toggle off.1720018758520_1720018758514_0.jpg

I already have man, I meant the app itself, not the news feed. Thanks for the comment nonetheless 👍

Also, can't lie, you have a nice background for your home screen.

If you've done all that then at least you won't be disturbed by it. As far as the actual Samsung Free app goes, On my S23U I have the option of downloading the app from the Galaxy store and so have the option of uninstalling it. It never came preinstalled on my phone. If yours came preinstalled then is there an option to disable it?

Cheers, it's the default S22U wallpapers. I kept them as I too liked them better than the default S23 ones

It was pre installed on my S22ultra so I can't remove it but only disable it instead. I am as well in the UK and have my settings for it for UK it's not only for US users. I only look at the news feed and rarely use the t.v part in the app. You can turn off all the permissions and notications in the settings if you don't want it borthing you.

I don't know which version of OneUI you're on, but on 6.1 you can simply uninstall it.

I'm on 6.1 too, but there is no option to uninstall nor disable, even on samsung store. I have an S21, and it seems people with other phones can uninstall it.
