Hi,
I have 10 Galaxy S Series devices synchronized with the Samsung Email app using Office 365 email.
Since last week, every time I open the app, it prompts me for a password. However, if I simply click "OK," the synchronization continues without any issues.
Could you please advise on how to resolve this issue?
Thanks,
Ehud

I tested clearing cache, removing accounts, uninstalling the app. No change after re-installing and re-adding Microsoft accounts. Password prompts over and over again. Tried older app versions, same issue or can no longer connect to Microsoft mailboxes without upgrade.

Found something that is at least, working for me. Was able to update the email app to the latest version and followed directions regarding the Microsoft Authenticator app. Not sure it'll work for everyone, but worth a shot if you have Authenticator installed

Accept all certificates in security section seems to be what fixed mine

Hi, The problem could be with the Battery setting for Microsoft authenticator. It needs to be set to UNRESTRICTED to allow the MS authenticator to authenticate the email requests. This resolved it for me and hopefully it can for the rest of the community here. Open Authenticator App> Settings> go to the "Stay logged in to your Microsoft [work or school] account" section of the panel > tap "Turn off," then tap "Allow" to turn off Battery Optimization for this particular app.

It appears the reply by JP_CO is the fix, or at least a fix. After making the changes, I received one more prompt for the password a bit later, but after that, it's been fine. It has now been just over 4 days. Previously, I was seeing the prompt multiple times per day, every day.
This is on an S21 Ultra. Honestly, Samsung/Google keep moving things around that it's so hard to find anything that I don't remember exactly what I changed, but I believe it was these 2 places in settings and then 1 place in the Authenticator app itself (which is what I suspect did it):
1) Apps | Authenticator | Battery (under Usage category) | set to Unrestricted
2) I thought I had placed Authenticator in Never Auto Sleeping Apps, but when I just looked, it's actually listed in: Battery | Background Usage Limits | Sleeping Apps. I'm thinking then that I just removed it out of Deep Sleeping Apps.
In the Microsoft Authenticator App:
Menu (3 dots on top right) | Settings | Then under "Stay logged in to your MS work or school account" click on the "Go to Settings to turn on" (which is weird because I couldn't even find this settings menu in settings) | Find Authenticator and make sure the the "switch" is set to OFF for it.
We'll see if this sticks or not. I did NOT remove the 365 account, uninstall/reinstall anything or do anything with certificates specifically. In fact, I never received any sort of prompts about accepting certificates. Interestingly, I have 3 MS365 accounts on my phone, all through the native email app. Only the primary one was doing this, the other 2 were fine.
