S21 Update Status Bar Large

Hello all, I updated my S21 Ultra this afternoon to latest software update and ever since the icons and text on my status bar are much bigger than they used to be.

I've tried changing the font size settings and the screen zoom settings to see if that makes a difference but it doesn't. The fonts on other parts of my app drawer etc are a normal size.

Any help would be much appreciated as I used to like the status bar font to be smaller than it otherwise is now.

I've cleared this and still the issue remains

Select the gear icon to go to the system settings. Now go to the “Display” settings. Look for “Display Size” or “Screen Zoom.” Slide the dot on the scale at the bottom of the screen to adjust the size.

Hello Ive already done both of these. Both are at their lowest setting

Is there a setting I can change there?

Step by step:-
1) Go to "Developer Options"
2) Go to "Simulate display with cutout"
3) Choose "waterfall cutout"
4) You will see the screen looks narrow with "waterfall cutout" but the icon on status bar become bigger. Under "Minimum Width", you should see it auto adjusted to 279 dp.
5) Reboot your phone.
6) Then go back to "Simulate display with cutout".
7) Change to "Default"

yippee .. you should see your status bar become bigger now

I don't want it to become bigger though. That's the issue. The icons and the font are now too big after the update
