I've really started to notice my battery is not lasting the full day. Its mostly just on my desk all day but come the evening, the battery is saying it needs charged.

Im not sure how to work out what might be draining it or what I might be able to do to investigate or fix it - so any advice or suggestions would be most welcome!

turn off your device. Plug it into the charger and then press volume up and power, keep them pressed and you'll boot into recovery, from that perform the wipe cache partition.

Have you turned off enhanced processing and turned on battery saver?

battery estimation is not something you should look at, they are stats based on the previous week and you can easily get more than that or less in base of how you use the phone.

Just use the phone as normal and report the screen on hours this evening :smiling-face:

I keep trying to restart in recovery mode but it just restarts as normal. I've plugged in the charger and hold down volume up and the power button together, but it just keeps restarting as normal...

I'm not sure which screenshots to share which are the most helpful...

not sure if it's too early to tell. think there's a slight improvement, but not much - still no way would last a day if I was out and about

do I just have to suck it up an have Power Saving turned on? seems a bit rubbish as I've only had the phone just over a month

and still not able to restart in recovery mode, have tried with powe cable, cable into PC, no cable, but always just goes to normal Samsung mode..

try after plugging it in to hold volume up first and then once you are pressing volume up press the power button and keep both pressed

the battery life you  get should be about right, don't know where you are loosing around an hour however.

Don't worry about having to put the phone in power saver, it just limits the spikes of the cpu clock and it is something you will not notice in normal use.

Try changing your browser from chrome to internet samsung it is much more power efficient as a browser and lets you to have the full screen show the pages without the bars

Also at which brightness you usually run your device? If you are going full throttle on it it may be the determining factor of your consumption.

Are you running at 120 or 60 hz mode or adaptive?

what kind of Web pages do you have open tabs on? How many? It's weird how much power seems to be drained by your Web browsers. Do you use any Bluetooth devices regularly, speakers, headphones etc.
