With the last and final firmware update for the now unsupported S20 came significant rapid battery drain. I'm talking 1% every 30s-1min or so.Coincidence?
It's almost as if they are trying to "encourage" S20 users to upgrade by skeaking in excessive battery drain.
So I did an experiment.. as it's not my main phone...
I unlocked the bootloader and rooted it, then formatted it and installed Vulcan (an unofficial alternative to OneUI). Guess what.. No battery drain other than the slow gradual drain you get with normal usage.
Obviously I can't prove my theory about the drain being by design for the final firmware, but still...
