Has anyone else had this problem? On my S8, my photos were in proper chronological order but when my son used that smart-switch app to transfer everything to my new S20, all of my photos were out of order. How do I get them back to date order? Please help!!

Hi, @Deanne1407. It's important that you get this resolved, as you've certainly been waiting a while!

I recommend opening up the Gallery app, opening the album(s) in question > tap the 3-dot menu on the top-right > Sort > This will load up the Sort by menu and you can choose how you wish to date-order your photos.

I'd also recommend having a look at the thread below:

Please let me know if this helps.

I was able to sort this out downloading tha app "EFIX Image and Video Fixer" (free version only fixes dates in 50 pics, but for 5usd totally worth paying it will correct all dates), and fixing the date in the pictures IN MY ORIGINAL PHONE. Then, I used Smart Switch with a CABLE (not wifi as I did on the first time, I restored it to factory setting before trying this again differently). It worked! Not only copied pictures in the right order but it did it a lot faster. I used a USB-C to USB connector that I had from my prior phone to do this. Also, all the pictures I had with a grey thumbnail and an exclamation mark are gone =D

I tried first other solutions I read in other places that did't work:

- Erasing and restoring the pictures from the bin

- Using the Efix app directlyon the new phone with the mixed pictures (it solved some of them but not all)

- Doing a backup in my computer and then dropping them in my new phone. Maybe because it's such a heavy load I was never able to get them off the phone, it would tilt each time I tried to grab them from my phone into my computer.

Hope this is useful!! :smiling-face:
