The layout of my picture gallery grid randomly changed to where you pinch or spread to view the pictures in albums, but I liked it the other way where you scrolled down to view pictures instead. How the heck do I change it back? Thx

Care to share screenshots of what you mean? Assuming you've tried pressing on one of the images to go back to normal scrolling.

Hi there.

Looks like the gallery view has probably been changed with an update to be in alignment with the software on all phones.
On my phone from last year I can view invidual albums when I open the gallery.
I can also tap an individual folder and see the pictures that it contains.
Than I can pinch the album view 5 times to either see the pictures larger or smaller.
I am assuming you should be able to use this feature too.
