OVERHEATING ISSUE

for god sake I just bought an exynos  512 GB s21 ultra phone and it's just unusable , the phone get very hot if you open few app, video call and got a BBQ in the same time should be their  advertisement, 1500£ phone for nothing  lag always, hot for nothing can't use it properly.

Same things here. Hot as hell and battery flying like crazy. Full charge last night, left with 70%, wake up eith 24%!!!!! Screen on time 2:30!!!

Have the same issue. Just got the s21 ultra today and it gets hot within minutes of just flipping through the page.  It's not really usable and will be returning it for sure.

my friend and I both got ours yesterday. mine is fine and his overheats like yours. we phoned Samsung and their sending a courier to swap his for a new one Monday and they gave him £100 compensation. if your not happy tell them or send it back for a refund. simples. also have you had the recent update as that's a part of it.

I've had that this morning. Had to use my s21 ultra to join a Teams meeting at work, video on etc picked up my phone to turn off my camera and the phone was incredibly hot. I worked in the phone industry throughout all Samsung releases and this is a first for me, Except the Note 7 fiasco a few years ago...I'll monitor it for now but you are right, 2 or 3 apps open and it goes in overdrive and heats up like crazy

So I now have 1: 1 installed both S21 Ultra 256 Gb, I did a few tests see. below. It looks like Exynosy will have a problem piece by piece, on Samsung forums it is full of similar problems as I noticed with a defective piece. I keep my fists so that everyone reaches for the right piece, and if they are unlucky, so that they don't hesitate to make an exchange immediately, it's a huge difference.

The new piece doesn't overheat me too much during 8K rehearsals and games (Company of Heroes, Grid, Total war, COD) hopefully it will last and I will be extremely satisfied. I note that I did the tests with fully restored backups and installed 150+ applications (transferred from the original Ultry via cable using a switch), the original Ultra was without SIM during testing, all battery savers set for maximum performance, WQHD + and downloaded latest updates. If anyone wants to make another comparison, I'll go back the faulty piece tomorrow night, until then I'm available.
