Hi everyone,
I’ve noticed a frustrating issue after the most recent One UI update on my Galaxy S21 (UK model). The Samsung Gallery app has started loading thumbnails very slowly, and in some folders (especially older ones), thumbnails don't appear at all unless I open each image manually.
I’ve already tried:
Clearing the cache and data for the Gallery app
Restarting my phone
Checking SD card for errors (though most images are on internal storage)
Updating all apps via Galaxy Store and Play Store
This issue is particularly annoying because I use my phone for both personal and content-related work. I also run a cat care blog (Cat Cuddle Zone) where I organize a lot of pet images — so having a fully responsive Gallery is important for me.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Could it be a bug with the latest UI/firmware version?
