Hi, my first post here.
So I installed the latest OS update today morning on my S20 FE 5G and after that I have experienced strange touch screen or keyboard issues. When ever I try to write something with my keyboard it just lags or I have severe misspellings. The keyboard frequently doesn't recognize when I press the letter or it writes the same letter two or three times. It's very frustrating!
I have read on another forum users suffering the same issues. Anybody here have same problems?
I have rebooted the phone and changed the keyboard without success. I tested a Touchscreen testing app and it shows the actual touchscreen works very well with no issues. I didn't have any problems before installing the latest update. Any ideas what to do next?
Kernel version: 4.19.113-22378117
Security patch level: Sep 1 2021.

Yep, i've got the same issue. I've tried everything. The only thing that helps momentarily is resetting keyboard settings.

It appears to have been fixed with today's update ✊🏻

Which "today's" update are you referring to? October security update?
If so, then for me it's still just as busted. 😞

This is so funny. When the October patch came out today for me.. I was hoping this was it! The fix. The dreaded keyboard sensitivity fix. I didn't want to post anything here just in case it was just me and placebo.
With that said, initially.. I actually thought it helped prior to any bias. But then, I literally just saw your posting saying it's still busted so I had to do a double-take and "second guess" myself from my initial thoughts.
Well.. I just posted a couple paragraphs right now and I'll have to say I think something did change. It does feel a bit more responsive. You can almost get back to floating and tapping the keys with the tip of your thumbs again.witb little effort. Correct me if it's just me.
Anyway, I say that because I've been so used to what it was. I think I was subconsciously trying to adjust to the jank prior it's sorta messing me up now. Hopefully that makes sense.

Yes, after installing that update for the first I'd say 5-10min it felt like the screen worked perfectly. I could swipe type without any problems at maximum speed and I could pvp battle in Pokemon go(requires a lot of fast tapping). But then after a couple of minutes it turned back to the frustrating behavior. Swiping is borderline impossible because of random interruptions to tracking and fast tapping in games randomly stops registering taps for 3-5 seconds at a time. ☹

G781USQU6DUJ1, according to Samsung. As other folks have said, it's not 100%, but way better than before..I guess after using for a few hours, it's more like 60%. Like I couldn't even use my clipboard because the touch sensitivity was so whack.

I'm not much of a swiper.. for this entire paragraph I'm going to swipe the entire time. So far it's not lifting off the screen.
Hmm maybe you should try applying more pressure throughout? Do you have a screen protector? Settings?

As I mentioned here, I tried with and w/o screen protector, with and without touch screen sensitivity setting, with my finger, with my stylus, with my touchscreen gloves. Pressing lightly or hard makes no difference either. 😞
I still have my old lg v30 and using it to type and play is so enjoyable because inputs actually consistently register.

Already on October, for me it's not a new release, and so the problem still exists, flagship and fan edition do not good in basic functionality, such a terrible way!

Last night my phone got November security update and I think touchscreen problem is either fixed or at least very much reduced. I'll keep poking but so far I think it's much better 👏😁
