Hi, my first post here.
So I installed the latest OS update today morning on my S20 FE 5G and after that I have experienced strange touch screen or keyboard issues. When ever I try to write something with my keyboard it just lags or I have severe misspellings. The keyboard frequently doesn't recognize when I press the letter or it writes the same letter two or three times. It's very frustrating!
I have read on another forum users suffering the same issues. Anybody here have same problems?
I have rebooted the phone and changed the keyboard without success. I tested a Touchscreen testing app and it shows the actual touchscreen works very well with no issues. I didn't have any problems before installing the latest update. Any ideas what to do next?
Kernel version: 4.19.113-22378117
Security patch level: Sep 1 2021.

Deleted that even before this issue hate clipboard but that has nothing to do with the screen issue. The issue is a bad touch screen. Software did help in past but now just *****. But you can't fix a hardware problem with software

Maybe my issue is different.. I don't have any hardware issues that I'm aware of. Touch screen appears to work fine since I purchased the phone at launch. It literally is just when I type, it's not registering all inputs. Seems to have happened a couple months back. Buuut, I did just deleted everything in my Gboard "clipboard" before typing this.. hmm.. does seem to have fixed a bit. Maybe placebo. But this was a bit faster for sure.

I'm not sure how or why this fixed it, but it did. I use Gboard. I didn't clear my clipboard, but I did disable it then re-enable it and the problem was gone. I even switched back to the Samsung keyboard and no issues. Swiping and tapping is working perfectly. Thanks👍

How do you disable and enable Gboard??

Well I didn't disable Gboard, I disabled the clipboard. First press the clipboard icon on the top of your Gboard. For me, the clipboard icon is at the top of the gboard to the left of the gear icon. After selecting the clipboard you should see a pill looking icon and a pencil icon on the top right. Press that pill icon once to turn it off then press it again to turn it on. That's all I did and it fixed it.

If all your touch problems are fixed, install MultiTouch Tester app and see if works properly like in the video i posted above from my lg v30 or shitty like on s20fe.

Can't explain why but it looks like the problem disappeared on my device🤔

I had the same problems (I only swipe with the keyboard): after a lot of time wasted in various experiments I got rid of smarThings (the app, not the framework) and for me it worked (maybe it's a coincidence?). Even the fingerprint unlock system is more reactive. I hope I fixed my problem for good.

Agreed. The clipboard wiping has not helped (in the long term).
The Operating System 01/01/22 update has not fixed the problem..... Arrrghhhhhhh
