Grey circle

I just noticed a small grey circle on my s20 screen roughly where the Google widget on the bottom right hand side corner,  Any ideas what caused it?

You may have to get another phone to take a picture of the screen then send it to your Samsung phone and upload it. If its not showing on the screen shot then it may not be screen content.

I can only assume its a defect that's formed on the glass itself or would show on the screen shot or go when cleaned.

You probably have screen burn in which is an issue where a static image has been burnt into the screen, you can prevent it happening by keeping your screen timeout low to lower the risk of static images getting burnt.
