Good evening - Urgent help required for my 'dead' phone!

I have had my S8 Plus from new and up until yesterday, I have never had a problem with it.

I was using the phone (which had approx. 75% battery capacity) when it suddenly turned itself off.

The Samsung start-up screen appeared for about a second and then nothing, the phone was absolutely dead.

I've tried both the 2 button and 3 button fixes, but without success, also the phone will not charge now.

I need to be able to retrieve 100% of the phone content prior to entrusting it to someone for repair, as I can't risk losing anything at all.

Does anyone know of a Recovery Software package that I can use to retrieve all the content from my 'dead' phone  to my PC?

Please note: the phone  has not been 'rooted'.

Thanks in advance for any help with this issue.

Today's update on the Samsung S8 + Black Screen issue.

I just can't believe my good fortune. Earlier this evening, out of sheer desperation more than anything, I decided to try to recharge / restart my old S8 +.
To my great surprise, not only did it recharge to 100%, but also restarted and remained fully functional long enough for me to transfer everything over to the S21 + using SideSync. Shortly after the transfer completion, the S8+ died again, only to restart and hang up at the startup screen.

I"ve learned a few lessons from this experience.
1. Always fully back up everything to Samsung Cloud.
2. Take note and record where data such as Cantacts are saved to.
3. A Samsung phone is not "dead' even if it has remained in a frozen state for 12 days and has also been declared "unrepairable' by a long established phone repairer.

Thanks to @Robin999 for all the advice and guidance provided over the past 12 days. I've taken a lot of this advice onboard.

The same thing just happened to me. My Samsung S8+ shut down, and went into boot loop mode. When I start it, it gets stuck at the Samsung logo. the phone is not rooted.

it was at 80% of charge when it turned off.

After a lot of tries, now I am in this situation:

The phone was absolutely dead, the phone will not charge now anymore.

😞

After countless attempts at recharging and restarting the S8+, I finally managed to get it start.
It functioned long enough for me to transfer everything over to a replacement S21+ phone.
I then reset the S8+ to 'factory' and sold it for 'spares or repair'.
It might be worth you persevering with yours, and you may be as lucky as I was. I managed to get everything off the old S8+.
I must have tried to restart it at least 30 times though befere it eventually came back to life!.
See my post of 11/08/24 in this thread for more detail.

I read your posts and I have exactly the same scenario, and I have tried everything you have (even before I got to this thread).

Reading that you managed to get it to work in the end gives me hope.

I think (or hope) that you managed to recover the phone once the battery completely died after 11 days. In fact, that's the last kind of recovery I have left.

All you can do is keep trying as I did. T.b.h. I was totally amazed when the phone finally took a full 100% charge and then started up.
When the problems with the S8+ first started, I took it to a seasoned professional. After checking the phone, he told me there was an intermittent fault with the main circuit board and that it was not economically repairable.
It was a couple of weeks after this that I managed to get the phone working and transferred all my data.
I just repeatedly kept trying to charge the phone (usually overnight) and then leaving it unplugged during the day. Eventually, after slmost 2 weeks, the phone finally fully charged and it started up normally.
Ater I had managed to transfer all my data to another phone, the S8+ died again and I sold it for spares.
Good luck with bringing yours back to life.
