I bought my S21 Ultra outright through the Samsung website 3 weeks ago, I traded in my old device (Huawei P30 Pro) and sent it over on monday 11th october. I have had no email confirmation saying they have received it but today they took £250 out of my account and just now they are threatening to lock me out of my device. I am not happy with how they have handled this and they better come up with a good excuse or i may start looking for alternatives.

Fingers crossed! Glad at least someone managed to get through as the rest of us just got through to the voicemail of someone in HR!

Just out of interest, is anyone having this problem who bought their device directly from Samsung but DIDN'T do any sort of trade in or similar?

Nah it wasn't MTR, just the shop support!

I've looked up 'Samsung lock' on twitter and recent tab. Someone said amongst the tweets they've been locked for 3 days ago, now 5 days at this point in typing.

Quick Update
The device will be locked notification has disappeared from my phone and i'm no longer being pestered by it (finally). However, my next challenge is to try and either get my money back or get an explanation as to why they have taken it.

I would contact Martin Lewis if you're in the UK. He's the chap that does the 'Money Programme' on BBC1. I'm sure he'd be very interested as so many people are having similar issues. I would think that if anyone can get to the bottom of this, he can. The results might even feature on his T.V. Programme!
