I've only been using my phone for a few days now It's brand new not renewed or anything.
On the first day of having the phone, I charged it overnight. In the morning, my battery was at around 3%. I saw a notification saying that my device was draining faster than it could charge.
I don't believe the cable is the issue, as I have used the exact same configuration (outlet etc.) and other phones have charged just fine. Instinctively I went to look at my battery settings and background usage. It showed that the Galaxy Store, had been running for 12 hours in the battery background.
After seeing this, I did all of the usual things:
Ran my phone at medium battery saving.
Restricted background usage for all apps.
Turned of any connection settings (Scanning, bluetooth etc.)
Turned on adaptive powersaving.
(I did have adaptive battery on for one day, but I turned it off after reading something about it clashing with adaptive power)
Put apps to sleep.
I'm really not sure what else to do, because sometimes my phone won't even last 12 hours on full charge. When my Samsung A25 lasted 2 days easily whilst using spotify all day.
I have heard someone mention reinstalling OS but I'm not sure if I want to.

Have a look in your Device Care Section under Battery after a full days use to get a handle on that's using the battery too @benjbeau
Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.
The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "
