Are they definitely going into pairing mode ?
When you then long press on your Bluetooth toggle on the phone is the earphones showing up in the list.
Is your Bluetooth settings set up to search for nearby devices.
Are the headphones refusing to connect at all or are they connecting i.e can listen to music but not calls.
It might be worth having a look in another forum of users of your particular model of earphones to see if others are experiencing issues.
May I suggest to perform a forum search as you may find already existing threads with help and advice within.
