I seem to be having an issue with the moisture detection. I'm in desperate need of help. I currently have >17% and its dropping fast. I use my phone for work and I need to contact customers. Its been slightly intermittent for the past week or two usually unplugging it turning the cable round ect would fix it. Now? Nothing.

I've started with the obvious:

turning off device, cleaning with a toothbrush, shaking, even using compressed air. Visually there's no debris inside and there's no moisture either.

Installed latest update. Nope.

I've turned off fast charging as that was meant to be a "bypass". Still no joy.

Bought new cables. Nada.

Some guy said turn off device and when you turn back on plug in on the first 'Samsung' logo. Nothing.

The same guy also recommended I delete recently downloaded apps as they could be causing an error via coding. Now, I don't particularly download apps. However, I did have an update couple weeks ago and for what ever reason after this update, I kept getting a pestering notification (with an orange banner) saying to select games or something. I kept trying to close it and it would come back instantly. Anyways, I caved and opened it and it downloaded 3 games, without giving me an option to decline. I uninstalled them straight away but could it of effected my phone?

Any other suggestions would be great, I've ordered a contactless charger but it wont come while tomorrow. I desperately need it to contact clients.

Thanks.

Try a hard reset

With the device powered up, Hold the Volume down button and Power button simultaneously for 10 seconds. The screen will go off. Continue to hold buttons until the device vibrates and the Samsung logo appears. Release buttons. Device will reboot. Once done, please check if the issue is resolved.

Thanks robin. But once again, no joy. Could it be possible the port is faulty? If so, can it be replaced via a phone repair shop?

I'd still look towards the cables and / or charger first. Ensure known working OEM Samsung accessories are used. Try plugging into a PC, too, and see if it gives you the moisture warning.
Finally, the nuclear option, full factory reset. Obviously, back up first.

If all that fails, then yes, get it inspected. Try to use an Authorised Samsung repair centre if at all possible. Their work is guaranteed, and they only use OEM replacement parts.

Update, I've just tried to fire it up in 'safe mode' to see if it was an app causing this, and again still doing the same. I should've also mentioned when it was intermittent i never had a notification telling me about moisture. Now I do all the time.

Great read, a lot of these things I have already tried. Some in the comments have logged out of the Samsung and relogged in again. That also didn't work. I've contacted a repairer, if I could avoid factory reset that would be ideal. I am going to leave my phone in rice as suggest for a short while until I hear back from the shop. I am doubtful it will help. The phone in question is second hand, and I've had it for around two months as my pervious S20 broke. I loved my S20 so figured id stick to the brand. however, upon research S22-24 aren't all that great..
