So about 1 week ago i got prompted to apply the one ui 7 updateon a perfectly functioning z flip 4.

Almost straight after this update i started to experience strange behaviour

1. Green hue covering a part of the screen periodically

2. Black screen and non responsive behaviour upon lock and fold

This gradually got to the point where device became almost unusuable at certain moments

I noticed if i kept my finger long enough on biometric or on the on off button eventually the phone would become responsive.

What is more interesting is the bahviour of samsung in switzerland.

I sent an error report via members which was responded to by asking me to contact a subcontractor who offfered to repair my phone and not charge me if it fell under warranty.

WTF i mean you are a vendor you caused the problem and you want the client to pay for untested or poorly tested software. Are you serious??

What is more shameful is that samsung in my case with the replies i got clearly do not want to even acknowledge issue is due to their update.

I called the samsung service in switzerland and when i challenged their position was told

A) That these days you can find anything on the internet in terms of problems and associate them to causes

B) At this moment there is no acknowledgement of this problem despite me telling support that issues are widely reported.

Gaslighting in its purest form.

They did offer to reset the phone.

But what is more worrying is the lack of empathy and acknowledgment that the issue is clearly a result of the vendor.

Very surprising and in this case damaging for samsung brand. I did not realise the company was capable of such behaviour.

In my case i understood im on my own i managed to switch off a dozen various display related settings and mode related setting which have greatly improved the situation  but i think i will be selling this phone and moving to another android supplier once i the time to look into this as im absolutely infuriated by this type of behaviour and dishonesty....a spade is a ficking spade and apple is a ***** apple

I am sorry you had this experience, in my case every time I have contacted they have been good, emphatic and offered help.

Perhaps it is this odd time they haven't offered this. Everyone company will have some employees who have this mindset.

A professional company

1. Will acknowledge issues with software they have rolled out

2. Will communicate to their global community known issues

3. Will plan for fixes

Their support dod not communicate any of the above so them being nice or kind does not matter so much....

Whatbare they proposingbis what matters. I know plenty of users have reported similar behaviour so theirnofficial support telling otherwise is unacceptable. This is again a official forum and they remian silent....what else is there to say...i learnt my lesson. I need to move away form their phone product and warn everyone i know thisnis how they treat their customers....

Just to be clear for all. Samsung are aware the z flip 4 has issues just like other models had earlier this year when tehy blocked the rollout of one ui 7. However they to my knowledge have not taken any steps to acknowledge or even help customers with a z flip 4 who encounter the same lock unlock issues reported which halted the intial one ui 7 rollout.

In my case i have taken a s22 to at least restore all my data back and then i think i will move to another product in the near future which is not samsung
