Unable to Manually Add a City in the Weather App (Watch 8) → GPS Required and High Battery Drain

Hello,

Since upgrading to the Galaxy Watch 8, I am unable to manually add a city in the Weather app.
The app constantly asks me to enable Location (GPS) and/or Wi-Fi, without offering the manual input option that was available on the Galaxy Watch 7.

This forces me to keep GPS enabled at all times, which causes significant battery drain — something that never happened on my previous watch.

Everything indicates that this regression comes from the new version of One UI Watch (confirmed by a Samsung support representative).

Is it possible to restore this feature quickly, or confirm whether its removal was intentional?
For many users, the ability to manually add a city is essential, especially to preserve battery life.

This update is clearly a step backwards in daily usability.

Thank you in advance for your feedback.

Does it not just take the settings from the weather app on your phone? So just manually add a location on the phone side and it'll probably appear on the watch

I does not and I do not own a Samsung Phone nor have a weather app on my phone.
