Yesterday my Flip 4 phone worked perfectly fine. My daughter even commented that my touchscreen worked even though she had gloves on. I'd been delaying and not allowing the software 8.0 update but last night it pushed itself through. Immediately this morning after the restart, my touchscreen stopped working.
Even just entering my PIN takes several tries. Once that is done, the phone mostly ignores me.
I bought the phone refurbished on Amazon. I have researched and I think the likeliest is that the refurb replaced the touchscreen with a non Samsung screen and the update wiped my screen drivers. I am peeved at Samsung. It seems that this is their sneaky way to brick older phones.
Someone with a different device said that it was the fingerprint software. On theirs, the S-Pen worked after the update, but not the fingerprint.
Getting to my question. How do I fix this? It seems my options are limited because I can't use the screen.
