I got the same notification just as I was about to pay for something in a shop. I panicked and deleted it in a kneejerk reaction.

Hi, all.

To streamline things a bit, I've merged several threads related to this topic.

Our developers and Product Specialists have confirmed that there blocking or a warning may occur on some apps (such as Samsung Wallet, Samsung Messages, etc.) by Google Play Protect.

It seems that this phenomenon comes from Google having server side issue. Currently, the aforementioned teams are investigating if there are other affected apps. Addtionally, we have been advised that Google has taken an action for the fix on the server since Oct 12th.

If Samsung Wallet, Samsung Messages etc. are blocked by Play Protect, you can implement app preferences reset for the certain app in the Settings. That will reset all the preferences for:

1) Disabled apps.

2) Notification restrictions for apps.

3) Default apps.

4) Background data restrictions for apps.

5) Permission restrictions.

The aforementioned app preferences reset does not remove any user data on the app. You won’t lose your existing app data.

The path for resetting your app preferences is:

Settings > Apps > More options > Reset app preferences.

In the unlikely event that this issue persists, I recommend submitting an Error report:

1. Touch and hold Samsung Members icon on the Apps screen and Tap Error reports.

2. Tap OK on agreement popup for sending the system log data.

3. Select the Symptom category.

4. Describe the problem in detail and SEND.

I trust that this will reassure anyone who has been affected by this.
