***** Barclays Apple Fanboys !!!

So Barclays the bank that touts it led the contactless payment revolution pulled Android support for Barclays. Then Barclaycard over a year ago, slowly added debit card support, but nothing for Barclaycard.

My workaround has been Samsung Pay, Curve to Barclaycard.

Due to other NFC issues (another post to follow) I started to use Google Wallet, then thought let me try adding my Barclaycard, well it worked, yes Samsung Pay still want control so removed it, can't remap Samsung Pay to Google Wallet without ADB tools, so just changed my power button double press to Google Wallet.

So all seemed well .... until I got two messages from Barclaycard and Barclays.

As with all corporate gobbledegook it says everything but nothing.

I have experience with Samsung Pay, Curve, Starling, HSBC and never heard of this, anyone else or thoughts, is it standard stuff or Barclaycard absolving themselves of something.

Not sure about barclays. But banks in general are trying to cost cut and /or passing the fees on to customers.

Like depositing cash for example.

Most have closed branches or pushing customers to go to post office.

Which is good until you find out there is a limit on how much you can deposit and some of them are charged for deposits.

I know barclays was one of the banks who didn't wanna tie up with the post office for the deposits but did it reluctantly after backlash.

Also online banks are probably undercutting the high street banks which is probably squeezing their profits.

App only banks are quite the trend these days.

Very true our local closed, then reopened as a once a week pop up but advice only.

Yes, Revolut and Starling are successful but read somewhere the vast majority just use them as secondary accounts.

Good news, Barclaycard came back to me, saying all good, don't worry same T&Cs.

So liberating I even left my wallet at home.
No annotated Curve transactions, direct to Barclaycard.
