Hey folks

So, I've claimed the £30 Store Credit, added it successfully to my Samsung Account.

I went looking for something to download, found a couple of AOD Themes, both just under. £1 each. Selected Voucher to pay, voucher is there, selected and the screen now shows nothing to pay.

I accept the T&C's box. All is good. Click on pay (it shows £0.00).

Next page - Samsung require me to enter credit card details.

Why? Nothing to pay.
I'm not giving out card details unless I have to which appears to make the £30 credit worthless.

That's strange. I was referring to the Gift card option that was showing in your screenshot, so I'm unsure why it wasn't clickable. I tested it from my side and was able to get to this option.

I'd recommend checking your purchase receipt email from Galaxy Store to verify the payment source.

From what I have been able to find online, Paysafecard is primarily a prepaid card that you can use to make online payments.

Hi @PaulM1

The gift card line is there, and if you select it you then go to a page where you can select the £30 voucher or select Do not use discount. Whichever you select, you then go back to the previous screen as shown above.

From there I selected T&C's and the amount to pay changed from £0.93 to £0.00.

Clocked in blue box, took me to next screen where it wouldn't go any further without card details.

Yeah! Looks like the free galaxy voucher was a bait to sign up to the Samsung pay via curve.

Very sneaky from Samsung.

I thought I'd give it a try now.

But definitely feel I have been conned into signing it up.

Select the gift card option, on next screen select your voucher.

Click on back to get to the T&C's checkbox then the price should drop to £0.

Then select Paysafecard and you'll be able to process the payment without entering any card details.

Not great but as I don't have a Paysafecard it kinda looks ok.

It's like anything where you will be making payments, you need to add card details, just as you added card details to create a Google account for example, if you redeem your 12mths free disney, you will need to confirm a payment method, it's not that it doesn't work

Actually in this case it doesn't work correctly as confirmed between myself and the Moderator PaulM1.

It should not be necessary to put payment card details in when using the £30 Samsung credit leaving nothing to pay.

When I set up samsung wallet initially, I had to put in payment details so there was a payment method on record for the store, I used the voucher yesterday, and it was fine

That's madness why have you got to add payment details when you have credit x.

I think in theory you add the payment method initially, so if it's your first time using the store, the credit is irrelevant, like you had to when you first signed up for Google, it's to protect the vendors in the store i guess, so it can be verified, e.g many companies will take a nominal sum of money off a new payment method to ensure it's not dodgy

Before I could apply my credit I had to add my card details to samsung wallet. I got a confirmation that Samsung charge 15p for this. How strange!!!!
