I had the same problem and got the following response from tech support. It worked for me.
Firstly could you start by force-stopping the Samsung wallet? To do this, just follow these steps:
1. From the home screen, swipe either up or down to access apps.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Apps.
4. Select the sort arrow on the right-hand side of 'Your apps'.
5. Toggle on Show system apps.
6. Select OK.
7. Select Samsung wallet.
8. Select Force stop.
After this, could you also try clearing the cache of the Samsung Wallet? To clear an app's cache, just follow these steps:
1. From the home screen, swipe either up or down to access apps.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Apps.
4. Select the sort arrow on the right-hand side of 'Your apps'.
5. Toggle on Show system apps.
6. Select OK.
7. Select Samsung wallet.
8. Select Storage.
9. Select Clear cache.
Please note: This will not delete any saved settings, it will just help with performance and streamline your phone.
