Read reciept time not displaying after latest update

Ever since this latest app update, my phone won't show the time read on read reciept for anyone. Nothing else has changed except for the update. This is very frustrating as I hadn't heard this service was being taken away by Samsung.

I am guessing your using the Samsung messages? The read receipts can be found in "view details" in the actual message

I typically use Google messages as it shows the read icon

It is under chat settings.

I never paid attention to it so couldn't really confirm about whether it stopped working or not.

I use samsung messages.

But as Robot mentioned google messages does have better implementation of it and maybe that's why samsung uses it as the default messaging app.
