Location of Updated Apps

When game apps are updated, why are they  always placed back in the game launcher, even if they have previously been removed. Frustrating to have to keep doing housekeeping every time this happens. Can they not just put stuff back where it came from.

Game Launcher can be disabled, that's what I've done because I prefer launching the few games I have installed directly from their icons in the Home Screen menu. I'm not keen on what they have done to Game Launcher and it's not really needed to launch apps with so I won't miss it...

@ObanHibby: You also have the option of heading to Game Launcher > Tap the 3 lines in the bottom right > Settings > Show Game Apps > In Game Launcher and the Home and Apps Screen. This way, you won't need to open Game Launcher to access your games, if this isn't your preference. 

Further to the reply above by @antikythera, if you don't use Game Launcher then you can press and hold on the app icon and select 'Disable'. I hope this helps.
