I hate the new May 2025 UI One update and the supid widget are horrible

Why Samsung????? 

The May 2025 UI one update is horrible and the widgets are worse. I bought the Galaxy S24 because I didn't like S25 with gimmicks and decreased features,  if I wanted my phone to look like an iPhone and act like an iPhone I would buy an Apple phone.. 

I am a UX/UI designer and I know for a fact that anything with a curved design is compromising the font size area space. Samsung, if you change the phone designs and widgets designs then let us have the option to decide if we want those changes or keep our old formats, don't make the decision for us. Samsung was all about choices which it was great to have, but sadly now, they are taking that away from us and acting like Apple.

Very disappointed in Samsung and really thinking of going to another android phone provider.

I totally agree. Just made this update to UI 7 that I've been postponing since a while... and OMG.... ofc it had to f*** whole look of my phone. Seriously, I will never buy a Samsung ever again because this is not the first time the UI update is doing this. You should not do UI updates that force certain changes to the users, there should always be a way to be able to revert to a previous look one had! And although certain things are fixable - like displaying quick settings with a double downwards tap, I can't get rid of stupid padding around the widgets and the stupid gap between the home screen icons and the favourite icons underneath... from what I'm reading this is not sth one can fix atm, this way I cannot use the themes and wallpapers i loved anymore because the look is totally different now with the widgets I want to have and always had!! this is ridiculous, I wasted the whole weeked for looking for the fixes that do not exist anyway... upgrades should be bringing new features but NEVER destroy the previous look....

I completely agree and just realised they are getting rid of the edge panel aswell as you cannot download them at all anymore l, thankfully have it for now, use it alot. So stressful, will definetly walk away when this phone is done.
