I hate the new May 2025 UI One update and the supid widget are horrible

Why Samsung????? 

The May 2025 UI one update is horrible and the widgets are worse. I bought the Galaxy S24 because I didn't like S25 with gimmicks and decreased features,  if I wanted my phone to look like an iPhone and act like an iPhone I would buy an Apple phone.. 

I am a UX/UI designer and I know for a fact that anything with a curved design is compromising the font size area space. Samsung, if you change the phone designs and widgets designs then let us have the option to decide if we want those changes or keep our old formats, don't make the decision for us. Samsung was all about choices which it was great to have, but sadly now, they are taking that away from us and acting like Apple.

Very disappointed in Samsung and really thinking of going to another android phone provider.

Let us roll it ALL back!! Everything in the new UI is AWFUL, literally considering buying a non-samsung phone so I don't have to deal with how poorly the UI is.

Someone texts you, now you have to go back to the home screen to access and open the app, can't drag top banner down to access. Spotify? Sitting at the bottom near the unlock button instead of in the middle of the screen?

Battery draw is ridiculous, swiping down on the screen opens a whole bunch of garbage i don't need to see. Just show my notifications like before. JFC.

omg, this morning my phone just did an update and its all changed, the time on my front screen has gone. the weather display is  totally different.  what the heck have Samsung done /cry.  i didnt want ask need any of this...everything was just fine.

I was always taught/told...if it aint broke....

It's so frustrating having to renavigate how my phone works. I'm missing missed calls and messages due to the stacking. Why has the search bar for apps been dropped to the bottom of the phone and my battery life is less since the update. Roll it back.

My camera is awful now!. Can't zoom in get zero quality ruined it for kylie concert images and videos 😬😬

Not everyone needs to be a dev to operate a phone. People are really displeased with how something they paid 1000s for is no longer easy to use. Spotify widget sucks and there's no way to change that. Battery draw is ridiculous, they are forcing people to buy new phones. Guess what, it won't be a Samsung any more.

Ive had samsung phones for many years and this latest update is awful i dont like any of it new phone needed i just as well get an iphone which ive never liked

Owned Samsung for years, Own a samsung s21 ultra now and was holding out till now to buy the s25 ultra, well this ios update really convinced me to go for a 1+ phone instead, sorry but it's what happens when you try to implement things iPhone users like. You lose your customer base.

How about having 20% less battery efficiency than previously, where a whole day used to be enough but no longer?

How about having a spotify widget crammed at the bottom of your lock screen, no longer operable in an way meaningful way unless you unlock it again, defeating the purpose of having a lock screen playing music which you can control, like, skip, while you do chores?

How about having Inteminent 5g speed, literally the same pages you visited couple a days before the update, now it takes twice the amount to load and getting a "you're offline" message pop off now and then?

I would suggest you have more going on than just the OneUI7 update wirh your s21 ultra.

You should investigate why these are occurring and not just moan about it. The battery should not run down any quicker and the cellular modem should not take any longer than previous. If this happens then there is something else occurring. Often a backup and factory reinstall ... essentially a clean slate... resolves all of these issues.

Contrary to your beliefs, I offer my time and opinions here completely voluntary and there is no "samsung paycheck". Although my paycheck in my day job is fairly ok... so thanks for your concern about this. I give my time completely free in an attempt to help users, although when we have to deal with these kind of comments then I wonder if I should bother trying to help or respond to people on the forums.

I hope you find out why your battery is draining quicker and cellular connection is playing up. But I feel you are not looking for a solution.

If you do switch to OnePlus then i hope that goes well for you. If you think Samsung UI is not good then I hope the OnePlus OS meets your expectations. It is still based upon Android 15.
