New Galaxy S25+ - Gemini Live not working

I purchased a new Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus on July 5th, 2025. While the Gemini app works for voice queries, the “Gemini Live” feature doesn't work.

When I long-press the side button, I only see the small microphone bar at the bottom of the screen. It works, gives answers to questions - But the button for the “Live” function does not appear. (see photo #1)

When I add the Gemini widget to the home screen, the “Live” button DOES show up. (See photo 2)

When I tap it, Gemini opens and says: “This feature is currently unavailable.” (see photo 3) Photo 1 (mic. bar)Photo 2 (gemini live button on widget)Photo 3 ("not available")

Could you please help me understand why this is happening and how I can get the Gemini Live feature to work properly?

Things I tried to make it work:

- Update the Gemini app (up to date)

- Update the Google app (up to date)
- Update the UI/SYstem software (up to date)
- Subscribed to 'Google Premium 2TB account' (no changes)

To be clear: when I say 'Gemini Live', I mean this screen (the one that you can have an intelligent conversation with)

Have you set Gemini Live up? By that I mean did you already launch it before and agreed to the disclaimer?

For some reason I do have acces to it with my old gmail account, used on my old S20+. 

I logged in with that email account on my S25+ Gemini app, and it works. However, when switching back to my new hotmail account, the function isn't available again..

Anyone any idea how to fix this?
