Can you try heading to Settings > Device Care > Battery > Power Mode > Adaptive Power Saving > On > Back > App Power Management > Adaptive Battery > On > Put Unused Apps To Sleep > On. I'd also recommend shutting down any apps while not in use via the Recent Apps button, and disabling Wi-Fi, Mobile Data and Bluetooth when not in use. You may also wish to open the Google Play Store and check your settings to disable auto updates, to further reduce background activity for the app.
