Google assistant not working S24 Ultra

Bought a new S24Ultra. Google Assistant worked but then did an update and now when you say Hey Google the Google search page opens and that's all. 

Everything seems to be activated, permissions seems all good, language selected.

If you open the physical app then it works but not if you say Hey Google it automatically opens Google Discovery Page. 

Any advice?

I have had the same problem and came here, read this thread and like you all-no luck. I searched elsewhere and managed to fix my issue so I had to come here and share in the hopes it fixes others too! This is the text copied from the other site which fixed my problem... good luck!

I asked Google Assistant to tell me a joke, and while it paused to generate the punchline (so I knew it would be actively “speaking" still), I pressed the volume up button. Lo-and-behold, up popped a volume slider that was adjusted all the way down I could restore and there was the automated voice we sought.

Hey, I've been having this annoying problem with my new S24 Ultra. I set everything up correctly, but it still doesn't work. I even removed and added my Google account again, and it worked for a few hours, but then the issue came back after the Google updates finished. It's so frustrating! I never had this problem with my iPhone, which I used for the past four years.

I got this new device (S24Ultra) in May. It was working fine until early July when I got some OS software update. Since then, Google Assistant and Gemini have stopped working. Only Bixby is working.

SOLUTION! If nothing works or helps, there is a high chance that you have a system language that is not supported by Google.

Find the "Google" (literally) application on your launch screen -> long tap -> (i) icon at the right corner of the popup menu -> Language -> change it to "English (US)".

Now, go back to Settings -> find the Hey Google & Voice Match setting. You will see that you can enable it now.

Hey Guys, I've got an actual fix, go to app info for Google Assistant, Under the Storage Option Clear Data for the app and follow this by force closing the app, if you are using Gemini do the same for the Gemini app... And Voilà! All working again

Omg I've had this issue for more than half a year now and this finally resolved it. Such a stupid thing, but thanks for advice!

How did you solve it? It stopped working for me too...and i tried a lot of thinks but nothing worked...

For me worked the variant to change the "Google" app language to English US...apparently, mine was on "device native language" or something like that. And my language is Romanian...even if i saw that now Gemini is available in Romanian and when i reseted the voife model it show me texts in my language, the voice match don't work with my language...i just don't understand why it goes like this? Because i have the phone for 5months and it worked perfectly fine. I didn't used it a period, and today, boom...the geminy app was not installed, the voice match was turnet off and whrn i trained it...just not worked until i changed the stupid google's language to english us..just stupid google's stuff..even if it support other languages, it doesn't work with "Voice match"? Stupid...

And in Romania we don't have GoodLock...so i can't set the Gemini/Google Asistant on the power button...another stupid thing...
