Excluding folders from displaying in recents folder in gallery

I was wondering how to exclude folders from displaying in recents folder in gallery, because I have some folders on my phone that I do not want to be displayed in recents folder. Is it possible to do so?

Hi,

You can deselect the recents folder from showing in your essential albums

Open Gallery. Tap on Albums (Left hand menu). Tap 3 dots top rh corner. Tap select essential albums. Untick Recent folder. Tap done.

Note: Deleting anything from the Recents album will delete them from the corresponding album.

There's no such thing as folders in the 'Recents' album. The Recents album only contains files and contains everything. The individual albums are created automatically, and files are placed in them according to their source.

Faced the same problem.

First i tried to hide the albums that are not to be seen in the Recents but found 2 issues with that - 

1. I have to unhide everytime i need to see em

2. Weirdly, i am not able to hide Screenshots app.

Then i tried searching my luck in Gallery Labs, there i found an option to set screen lock to view Album. I enabled it and locked all the other albums. And finally I see only Camera photos in the Recents when i open the Gallery app.
