a80 charging issue

Hi I've had my a80 practically since it came out and had no problems but today it started to have issues with charging. when i connect the original cable the phone either doesn't see it at all or keeps connecting and disconnecting.  this problem is only when i have it plugged in into a wall, when i charge it though laptop its completely fine. it cant be a issue with the socket adapter because I use it to charge my other devices without an issue. its just my phone that seems to have an issue. and when i use a nonoriginal cable everything is fine too. I don't get it

It sounds like the cable needs replacing if a non oem cable works.

Yeah I would think so too except it had no problem charging my laptop
