My phone is saying that there is water in the charging port and I know there isn't,  I've put it in rice and tissue and it's ok for a day but then starts doing it again

Hi @Members_RSuE4vV  Welcome to the Samsung Community :smiling-face:

Just wondering, are you using official Samsung chargers?  An idea to try a Forced Reset by holding the volume up and Power keys simultaneously for more than 7 seconds till it Reboots. you canrun the Diagnostic tests within Samsung Members, go to Samsung Members-Support-Diagnostics and run the Test for Cable charging via Battery Status. If errors are highlighted would need an inspection.
An idea to also try a USB reset Usb reset.
Settings -Apps -Tap the 3 lines with the downward facing arrow, to the right of 'Your apps' -Show system apps (toggle this on) - OK - Scroll down, and tap on 'USBSettings' - Storage - Clear cache -Clear data, then restart your device.
if still no resolution run in Safe Mode and try charging, Sometimes can be an issue with some 3rd party apps which are disabled . Press and hold the Power Button until the Safe Mode option is displayed. More detail on troubleshooting here : https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/what-to-do-if-your-phone-is-not-charging/

However I am aware that in the past some customers found a solution to cable charging issues by wiping the cache partition. Steps as follows:
1. Turn off the device.
2. Connect To Computer ,  other phone or Tv USB. Press and hold the Volume Up key and then press and hold the Power key
3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys.
4. An 'Installing system update' message will show for 30 - 60 seconds before the Android system recovery menu options appear.
5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
6. Press Power key to select.
7. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
9. Press the Power key to restart the device.

if still no solution would need to contact Samsung Support/visit Service centre.   I am aware of ocassions when no water/debris has been apparent to customer but was detected by service centre.

personally I do not think it ios the best idea to put Device in Rice.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

It's a known problem with some devices, I won't advise putting your phone in rice as it can do more damage to the electrics. It isn't proven that rice resolves the issue. Sometimes you need to have the charging port replaced.
