Washing Machine stop spinning

My washing machine is only a year old and it has stop spinning. I’ve tried unplugging for a day and still doesn’t work.  Model isWA40J3000AW/AA

I'd recommend contacting Samsung directly on 0330 726 7864 to speak to one of their Home Appliance Specialists. Alternatively you can arrange for an engineer to visit your property by checking the following link, selecting 'Home Appliance > Laundry', entering your post code and hitting the magnifying glass symbol to search for your nearest Support Centre: http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/servicelocation/.

Our washer dryer WD12F9C9U4W has the same issue. Just over 2 years old and just stopped spinning with no error code. We tried the calibration and everything else found online but still it doesn't work. I see many complaints about the Samsung washing machines which makes me think that they are not reliable as products nor for customer service, with no recall even if it seems most of these products have the same issue.

If the washing machine does not drain and/or spin, have a go at the following steps:

> Straighten the drain hose. Straighten kinked hoses. 

> Make sure the debris filter is not clogged.

Thank you for your response.

The washing machine does not spin.

We have tried all the points you have mantioned and more:

   - more/less load in case of balance problems;

   - calibration;

   - belt;

   - motor;

All the above seems to be ok. So, our conclusion (and after we payed to be checked and fixed) is that the motherboard is at fault.  This part was ordered, payed for and we are waiting to receive it.

My point is that it is unnacceptable that just after 2 years the motherboard to break. I have seen similar complaints here and on the US forum. This shows extremely low reliability for Samsung products.

I didn't ask yet, but I hope that this expensive motherboard comes with warranty.
