Washing machine not starting cycle

Hello,

can anyone help... my washing machine won't start, I turn it on deject the programme and it starts and goes for about a minute before stopping.

model: Wf80f5e5u4x

all lights are on but flash like it's stuck and won't go any further.

please help

Hi @SallyT

Some washing machines require the start button to be held in for a few seconds before the cycle will start.

If that doesn't help, is there any error code on the display?

No that's not it, it's started but then gets stuck.

Did you select a Wool Cycle when the issue occurred? If so then please be assured that the drum will stay still or move very slowly initially to prevent damage to the fabric. If this isn't the case then please can you try reducing the size of the laundry load to see if this helps, as sensors in the machine will prevent operation if the load capacity is exceeded. Let me know how you get on.

It's on all cycles no matter how little is in the drum and it should take 8k

Our washing machine seems to be doing the same thing! Did you get your issues sorted? 
Thought I'd check before I called an engineer.

Nope!

we were told the computer *might* be broken - fixing would have cost £300 and possibly wasn't the issue

 
we ended up buying a new one

Did get it sorted but had to call out an engineer. Got a local washing machine guy to come round and he fixed it there and then for £60.00.
