I have just bought a graded RS8000 RS68N8320S9/EU with the ice maker described as not working.
I have looked at it today and everything is working....
The fridge and freezer get to the set temperatures, the buttons all work.
The mechanisms for the ice unit are all working, test button turns and actions the ice maker and the crusher spins. The water dispenser also dispenser the water fine.
On testing the ice maker I noticed when it wanted to fill no water was flowing into the ice maker, then i noticed it was pouring form underneath the fridge freezer... looking underneath there are two connectors.
The one connected seems to flow the water to the water dispenser and then there’s a second connector with no pipe to connect it to from the fridge door like the other one. It’s as if the pipe is missing and the water is flowing out of the connector pipe which is connected to the fridge water unit.
Do i need to feed a new pipe from the connector to the ice maker in the door? I have tried to find a parts diagram to look at how this achieved but have not successfully found one.
