We have had our fridge freezer for a number of years (out of warranty now) and it has started making a noisy whirring sound which slows and stops when you open either fridge of freezer door. Presuming this is motor/fan noise and it seems to be coming from the back of it. Checked and cleared the vent behind the fridge/freezer and tried to make sure vents inside the freezer are uncovered although it is fairly full. We have found that when we remove the ice making bit out of the inside of the freezer door the noise stops. Have had it out a few days now with no noise, put it back in and it started straight away. Wondering if anyone has a suggestion on what the fault might be and any fixes? Thanks
