New Washer - Clicking Noise During Cycle

We have a few month old top loading washer that’s been making a clicking noise as soon as the cycle starts. Sometimes it will stop and then return later in the cycle. Any idea what might be wrong? This will happen even before the spin cycle, so it doesn't seem to be associated with any off balanced load. Any suggestions are appreciated!

@Edwards12: That certainly doesn't sound right. Sadly I am not familiar with top loading washing machines as they are not available to purchase in the UK, therefore I am unable to troubleshoot your query from this position. Please can you let me know where you are currently based?
