Hello,
I've seen a few reports of people having issues with Eco bubble washing machines cutting out or not powering on.
Ours failed during a cycle and then the next day no power. Whilst waiting for the repair engineer over a few days our electric tripped. Thought nothing of it until removing the washing machine ready for the repair.
The plug smelt funny and on closer inspection the fuse had melted and scorched the socket.
This machine is just under 5 years old. I find it strange that some of the questions on the phone during the technical quiz of the problem related to scorch marks around the plug socket. The engineer arrived and replaced the electric cable and also blown controller board..... handy having the spares already on the van.
Have Samsung a problem with boards and electrics in these machines???? Will we see a pattern in the next few years and see a denial of issues like the Hotpoint fires??

Exactly the same as other posters here.
The fuse looks like it has blown, but it hasn't because power is still going to the machine. This means that the fuse is not performing its safety function correctly which is certainly a fire hazard.
The machine stopped working with a 3E error, filling and emptying fine but drum not turning.
I took a look at the motor and the purple wire running to the motor has burnt right through.
Seems obvious there is some kind of safety issue with these machines.

Have expierenced yesterday the exact same issue with plug and fuse pic attached. This seems to happen often with washing machines which is concerning.

Samsung being quite creepy and weird about all this. So they pm'ed and asked for details then booked an appointment by phone. We discussed that the machine is out of warranty, but they said didn't matter as it was a safety issue (they were correct about that, good that they know their consumer law - or so I thought!).
So they sent an engineer round who took photos of the same as above and said they would need to replace wire harness and reattach motor and would replace PCB board (as a precaution) though he didn't test the PCB at all, though he could have because the pcb is still functional and you can plug the machine in - am sure that a new wire harness and safety check would fix the issue - if not then Samsung has sold an inherently dangerous machine.
They then emailed to say that the engineer said the machine wasn't repairable and that it was out of warranty(!) even though the engineer said it was repairable and the PCB replacement was only precaution.
Anyway fortunately we have CCTV with sound recording so we've got the conversation all recorded, I will be taking the matter to trading standards as clearly from all the other people who've posted here there is a safety issue with these machines.
Samsung were right in the first place, this is a safety issue and they cannot hide behind warranty, uk law doesn't work like that. If they have sold a machine where the fuse doesn't blow there is something seriously wrong at manufacture and there is no time limitation on their responsibility for this. Apart from this issue the machine has been lightly used and is still in good condition.
They tried to fob me off with a 25% discount on a new machine - that's no better than a Black Friday deal or what you can pick up on main dealers on the internet.

I have had exactly the same problem as everyone else. My machine is 4 and a half years old and the plug is behind the machine so I can’t even keep an eye on it.
I am a childminder and am doing a lot of washing throughout the pandemic. Reading all of the previous posts I now have zero confidence in Samsung and will not be putting my family or my minded children at risk from this dangerous contraption that Samsung have closed their eyes to.
WAKE UP SAMSUNG
You
have seen what happened with the hotpoint machines - why are you not doing the right thing by recalling all machines - you are putting so many lives at risk!

How do I do that?

@Suki75 Please take a look at the following link for a guide on how to send a PM: https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/samsung-lounge/how-to-send-a-private-message-on-the-samsung-comm...
Alternatively, if you would prefer, you can raise this with our Technical Teams on the contact details found here: https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/contact/

The most annoying issue with this is that I had this issue and was told my machine was out of warranty, then after I had ordered a new machine I was offered for an engineer to come and look at it. Too late for me and over £300 out of pocket. I feel Samsung really need to recall these machines and issue refunds for those who have had to replace.

I agree! I’m not getting into all this rubbish with them, I’ve seen the lack of help from this forum. I will be circulating my pictures and contacting watchdog, meanwhile I have ordered a new machine from a different brand - I’ll never buy Samsung again!
