I just installed an ME11A7710D Samsung microwave and got it connected to my SmartThings app. Now I'm trying to set up voice commands using Google Assistant. I got it set up with Google assistant but when I send commands like turn on microwave timer for 1 minute or turn on microwave for 20 seconds Google Assistant responds with "The microwave is in safety shut-off mode so it'll have to be adjusted by hand."
I can't find any setting related to a safety shut-off mode. This seems similar to this post: https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/home-appliances/samsung-ww90t534dan-can-t-control-my-washing-mac...
Any suggestions?

I'm getting this exact same thing on my MC17T8000CS that was installed today. Can remote start it etc with Samsung smartthings app (when the SMART control button has been pressed) but not from the Google Home app/voice... I can however enable the light haha.
Is this really a limitation?

There is not a solution for this. They say it's a safety feature to not injur yourself by voice activating the microwave. So it's really sort of useless unless you just want to use it to stop. And I can see if you were busy and had no hand free how that might be useful.
