Dear,
I have a Samsung Side-by-side fridge RS68N8221B1/EF. As the ventilator made noise, I though there was ice build up. However, yesterday I defrosted everything, put the fridge back to work and everything went fine. Only when putting the Ice Maker on much later (fridge & freezer temperatures were reached), the ventilator started humming. Opening the fridge the humming stops; closing again it restarts (confirming to me the noise comes from the ventilator). When putting the Ice Maker off, the noise stops immediately again.
Does the Ice Maker makes the ventilator turn harder or differently? Anybody that can explain why only activating the Ice Maker makes such noise?
@Oxton_morris seems to have the same problem described in https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/home-appliances/ice-maker-noisy-humming/m-p/7894962#M9991 (without answer)
Thx, Kurt

Bump - in the meantime I can confirm this issue arrises exclusively when the ice maker pops on. Anybody know the Ice Maker makes the ventilator turn harder or differently - what else could explain the humming as there is no specific ventilator for the ice maker?
Thx
