Hi,
I have just bought a SAMSUNG - RS8000 RS68N8330B1/EU. However I had actually wanted the 8320B1 - I got the model number slightly wrong.
the difference is the 8330 has a water tank but the 8320 comes from the main. But we have a piped and filtered supply available from our previous fridge freezer.
Is there a way of converting one to the other? clearly Samsung haven't designed two entirely different fridge freezers! Is there a conversion kit or spare parts purchaseable or simple instructions how to disconnect the tank and attach the mains supply that I have from my previous Samsung fridge freezer?

similar issue. we have a rs68a853059 but would now like to hook it up to the mains water and free up some internal fridge space… any leads? advice? thanks

if its got a connector pipe in the freezer door i don't see any reason you can't just feed that from your mains supply as it is water on demand, with the correct pipe obviously. if its a gravity feed water dispenser in the door of the fridge and not the freezer i see how this wouldn't be possible without some serious adaptation as the water would overflow the tank. I'll know for sure tomorrow as im gonna be taking delivery of an LG non plumbed fridge freezer. I'll post an update

We'll, it was as straight forward as I thought on the LG model I brought, remove the lower back panel to reveal the connector, disconnect the feed from the water tank to the pump and connect my filtered line. No leaks or anything so far so the seals seem ok with the mains pressure. Happy days saved a ton of money doing it this way.

We'll it turns out the lg doesn't like mains water pressure after all, ice maker overfills and simply doesn't work
, I have found a work around, a 1/4" pressure regulator from Amazon for £6. If I reduce the flow to the same as the pump it should be sweet as a nut. I'll drop a picture of the pressure reducer. Oh and as a caveat I did have to place some weight on the water container in the fridge, otherwise it thinks the container is empty and doesn't activate the pump. I'm 99% certain this will now work. If I don't post again within the next few days you can conclude that it's working fine. 👍

Very cool. Where on the fridge is the hose you bypassed?

Hi DrewHill, did you get a satisfactory reply? Have you managed to plumb your fridge? I have just done the very same thing, bought the wrong model with a water dispenser...and I want to plumb it

I'm planning to do this as well. I'm buying a RO unit to connect to to the main line and the fridge. I was always concerned about the water pressure which obviously from the main it is much higher than the weight of the filled water tank. This valve seems to be a good option here.
