I'm on latest update 6.1.1. When I tab my cover screen, it doesn't wake up. Apart from this, everything works fine. I did try soft reset, reset all settings and even wipe cache partition, but the issue is still there. I want to know if this is software issue or hardware. Just 5 months use and no damage happened.

Hi @Linn Htet and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum 👋

From your post I understand you mean the outer screen does not wake at all / is usable to type or view things on ?

If so and I understand you have tried carrying out some troubleshooting steps already, then you may need to try Safe Mode  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ turns off downloaded apps and themes etc which may highlight an app or theme that's causing conflict. Alternatively long press the power off button and then long hold on Turn Off to get to Safe Mode.

Try a forced reboot by holding down the volume down key and power button simultaneously for more than 7 seconds to restart it. When your phone resets, you will feel it vibrate.

If you perform a forum search you may find existing threads with some further help or guidence within.

And if absolutely necessary a Back up and Factory Reset.

If these dont help then a Samsung Service Centre or Samsung Experience Store will need to assess your phone.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

If you have to send your phone in for repair...

PLease please please..

Give you handset a really good clean, Take many High quality photos of your entire phone, especially the screen.

I am currently dealing with TMT First the approved repairer, do a quick search of them, they will damage your screen and claim physical damage to void the wanranty then they will want to charge you for a new screen.

I wish I had done this before I sent them my Flip 6!

Hi thanks. How many days did it take to get the screen repaired?

It hasn't been repaired, I refuse to pay them when they have sent me photos of my phone with a huge indent in the corner if the screen that wasn't there when I sent it. They want £30 to "inspect" it before no doubt telling me it will be a £339 repair. If you have an option of taking it to a samsung store then please do. I will never be buying another Samsung product again.

Thanks for the advice. This is my last Samsung device I believe. So disappointing. It's only been 5 months.

Hi @Linn Htet In addition to the other advice advisable to check the Diagnostics to see if any errors are identified. Go to Samsung Members-Support-Phone Diagnosics.
if safe Mode does not help an idea to wipe the cache partition before trying a Factory Reset (if this does not have the desired effect), follow these steps:
1. Turn off the device.
2. Connect To Computer , other Device or TV USB, Press and hold the Volume Up key and then press and hold the Power key
3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys.
4. Wait until the Android system recovery menu options appear.
5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
6. Press Power key to select.
7. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
9. Press the Power key to restart the device.
Ultimately though the Device may need an inspection.
