Hi, recently my z fold 5 make a sound when receiving text messages even though I always set ky phone in vibrate mode only. Tried to go into setting and set the sound off/silent but the sound is still there. The only option i can see is to turn off the notifications which I do not want to as this will make me not knowing if someone texts me. Anyone encounter the same issues? This is only happened on text messages and the message tones is different from what I have in my setting either. thank you

@Lazyjoney: Are you hearing a notification sound when receiving messages from a specific contact, or are all contacts affected? If it is a specific contact, please try opening the Samsung Messages app > Tap on a conversation with an affected contact > Tap the 3 dots in the top right > Tap the highlighted bell symbol in the bottom right of the pop-up window.

You may also wish to try heading to Settings > Apps > Samsung Messages > Notifications > Notification categories > New messages > Sound > Select 'Silent' > Back > Make sure 'Vibrate' is toggled on.

Let me know if this helps.

Hi! Welcome to the samsung members community!

Go to Settings > Apps > (tap the three dots in the top right corner) > Reset app preferences and then tap Reset to confirm

Download Nice Catch from galaxy play store and give it time to gather information and see if you find out what it is causing this

No, that's just to determine what is causing the notifications. Okay, so go to settings, then notifications—make sure the top is set to vibrate. Then, go to volume and turn down notifications- unless this is what you've already done?

Back up the data. Then go to Apps > Messages > Force stop > Storage > Clear cache and clear data. Delete, reinstall, and then log back into Messages.
