Z fold 3 software updates ruining my device.

Samsung these latest updates have ruined my device performance. I run regular diagnostics and checks and my phone was working fine before the last two updates pushed out.

Not only has my s pen stop reading properly, but now my main inner screen don't load correctly making it almost impossible to get anything done. I un fold the phone and it still uses the outer screen failing to switch over.

Some will say I have no proof its the updates and could be a hardware issue.

Apple already admitted they slow down older devices forcing customers to upgrade. I believe the same can be said for Samsung. Who charge almost the price of the phone just to look at it.

The updates are not tailored to the older models and have bugged it's performance drastically.

You definitely shouldn't be getting issues like this
You could have some corrupted software
I usually Wipe the Partition Cashe on the phone after updates

Wiping the Partition Cashe clears out a lot of old or corrupted information that can cause issues

Follow the steps below. You must follow every step and you should be done in about a minute

Turn off your phone.

Connect your phone with a USB cable
to PC or another Samsung mobile

You will see the charging icon on your screen.
Wait till it shows charging with battery percentage.

Next, press and hold the Volume up and Side key simultaneously.
You can press the volume up button just before the Side key.
The Samsung Logo followed by
Samsung Galaxy appears on the
screen.

At this point, release the keys
Phone will boot into Android Recovery mode

In Android recovery mode, using Volume keys, choose "Wipe Cache
Partition" .
Use the power button to accept that.
You will then see its cleared.

Then the top option, reboot phone.
Press the power button to reboot the phone and then sign in normally

If this doesn't work then I would look at booking the phone in at a Samsung approved repairer or if you have a participating Samsung Experience Store near you

Alternatively you could try backing up your phone and doing a factory reset. But for me this is a last resort

I don't know where you getting you sources but apple admitted slowing down older phones to manage the older batteries and stop them from shutting down not to force people to upgrade

I don't think companies need to slow down phones new software will do that itself as new software tend to have higher hardware requirements which older phones barely meet

I am no apple fan and would love that they slow down phone to sell more but I don't think that is true

Thanks. I have already tried the partition cache method but remained unsuccessful.

I think I will have to go with backing up and factory reset.

Samsung will charge me as much as £700 for a repair due to a cracked outer screen that has never inhibited performance.

Yeah when money is involved and targets have to be reached i would not be surprised. I understand you response are much appreciated.

I just feel ever time I do an update my phone gets more buggy.

The software update has ruined my a53 performance. I then had to wipe the phone cache partition again yesterday. But no luck. After I contacted customer service yesterday. They said its a software glitch. So they recommend me to reset all settings. Then my phone later on restarted. I suggest that you give this a go. Worth bearing in mind, if you have a galaxy watch 4 like me, I strongly suggest backing up your data. My watch won't connect to my phone and only option is left is to reset it😫

Same issue just happened to me, never dropped. Still regularly use my old phone without issue. It's disappointing.

I'm having issues to sounds has gone when open to full screen and now picture had gone was absolutely fine till last updates
