Hello @magnum44 and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum 👋
I'm sorry to hear your experiencing this issue with your phone. 😔
Is this dead spot on the screen happening on your screen no matter what your doing 🤔
These troubleshooting steps may help >
3. Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }
4. Run the diagnostic tool in your Samsung Members App to see if that highlights anything.
5. Send feedback via your Samsung Members App.
6. A Samsung Service Centre can assess your phone > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/repair/
I assume the phone hasn't suffered an accidental bump, or water ingress. If it does show signs of damage then Samsung may charge a fee for repair, or to bring the phone back to warranty standards before effecting a Repair on the screen.
If you have to send the phone away then take time and date stamped photo's of the phone to show it's aesthetic condition, and with one of the phone turned On, and another of the water indicator which is typically visible in the sim tray. Send ot away well packed to try and stop in-transit damage, and apply enough postage insurance.
Or if you have a Samsung Experience Store local them go there, or in the repair link see if your area is serviced by a doorstep repair service.
If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask 😎 p
Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.
The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

I have a similar issue. I can't really access the top bar with battery , WiFi ..etc unless on auto-rotate. The phone is only 9 months. Annoying.
Another issue : overheats when charging with a samsung origional charger sometimes even when not charging.
