Good afternoon everyone,

TLDR: Front screen touch function is acting weird and cleaning the screen, resetting the phone, and clearing the catche in the boot menu didn't work.

I started having issues with my Z2 yesterday evening when I came from work. At first, both of the screens had "Ghost touch" where it would click randomly across my screen, so naturally I reset my phone, which for a minute fixed the issue, and then it would happen again.

Weird thing is that it's only my front screen (the smaller one, not when you open the phone) completely lost sensitivity to touch, but my open phone was completely fine.

I went to boot menu and cleared the cache and then the touch returned, but the swipe would be either delayed or not recorded, some of the touches were registered, some didn't, the bar buttons at the bottom would not work at all and only sometimes register input.

I am seeking help and suggestions how I should act next.

Hello @Sledge-XD and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum Section for Uk and Eu Members 👋

I'm sorry to hear your experiencing these issues with your phone 😔

A possible Samsung help link > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/what-to-do-if-your-galaxy-phones-touch-screen-does...

If you perform a forum search you may find existing threads with some further help or guidence within.

Clearing the cache was definitely the right first step 👍

There is also a diagnostic test tool found in your Samsung Members App.

Just as another step do try Safe Mode  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ turns off downloaded apps and themes etc which may highlight an app or theme that's causing conflict. Alternatively long press the power off button and then long hold on Turn Off to get to Safe Mode.

Feedback can be sent to Samsung via your Samsung Members App.

A back up and factory reset would be the very last step you can attempt.

If all else fails then a Samsung Service Centre can assess your phone.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎
